Ephesians 1

Verses 3-10

Ephesians 2

God has created us for a purpose and that purpose is to be his handiwork. 

“Our purpose is to serve Christ our calling is how we serve Christ and our Gift is what we can use to perform our calling.”- Clemence

• God has gave citizenship to those who did not originally have citizenship through the blood of Christ.

14-18

-Jesus Christ is our peace and through his body has brought us all together to reconcile us to God. Jesus came and preached peace to all and through him and the spirit we are with God.

19-22

God welcomes us and tells us that we are no longer foreigners or strangers and we are citizens with Gods people. He also gave us the apostles and prophets as the foundation but he is the cornerstone of the building.

Ephesians 3

1-6

-Paul the prisoner of Christ tells them that he is spreading the gospel that will bring together the jews and Gentiles and this gospel has not been made known to others. He tells them that through his writing they will be able to understand his insight into the mystery of Christ. And the mystery is that jews and gentiles are heirs of the kingdom through Christ Jesus.

7-13

-Paul became a servant of that gospel through Gods grace. Even though he considers himself the least of all the Lords people God gave him grace. This was kept a mystery through the administration  of the Lord who created all things. The church will show the wisdom of God to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realm. In Jesus and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

A Prayer for the Ephesians 

14-19

-Paul says a prayer for the Ephesians and prays that the glorious riches will strengthen them through his spirit. HE prayes for them to be rooted and established in Love and that they may be able to understand how sidelong, high and deep is the love of Christ.

20-21

Gods gives us more that we could ask for and imagine when were are seeking his kingdom and it is through his power in us.

Ephesians 4

“There’s God and that’s it. There’s no being with God one day then being with the world the other day”-Gedeon

7-13

“When Jesus was dead, he claimed victory over death and took over his people”-Gedeon

“When Jesus comes back again, people are going to rise to either go to heaven or hell”-Sam

14-16 

“when we all try our best to be like Jesus, and we’re deep in our bibles, we won’t tossed back. We’ll be speaking in truth and love. Everything comes and starts from him. Without him none of this is possible.”-Yvan

“This talks about the importance of having the spirit. If you’re only getting your information from sermons and different pastors, you’ll get lost. You have to do your research and ask for the spirit.” Sam

17-19

If you’re walking the same way the people of this world do, you’re letting g them control your path”Yvan

“If you’re doin the same as a non believer you need to step back think about what you’re doing.”

20-24

“When you give your life to God, all the stuff that used to get to you, your moving out of that”-Gedeon

“Put your self in position to not fall back into your old ways. Once your taking something away, you have to replace it with God unless your going to feel like something’s missing”-Yvan

25-29

“If you see your neighbor doing something that isn’t right speak truthfully to them. Because we are all one body in Christ.

Our purpose on this Earth is to serve others. ”-Sam

Ephesians 5

1-7

Love the way Christ loved us and walk in the way of love. There cannot be even a hint of sexual impurity.  NO ONE who is immoral, impure or greedy person has any inheritance in the kingdom of God.

-“There must not even be a hint of sexual immorality meaning that it shouldn’t be even a little.”-Beline

8-14

We were once darkness we are now light in the Lord. EXPOSE the fruitless deeds of darkness. It’s shameful to say it in secret. Everything that is illuminated becomes a light.

15-20

-Make the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. Sing music from your heart to the Lord.

Instructions for Christian Households

21-24

Husband and Wives should submit to each other out of reverence for Christ. Wives should submit themselves to their husbands as the husband is the head of the Church.  Husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. A man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and they will become one flesh.
